Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when I submit this form?

An Alchemy Consulting team member will reach out to you within one business day to schedule a 30-minute scoping call. From there, we’ll discuss the best path forward and outline what a potential project could look like. You’ll come away with a clear picture of what is involved and what it would cost, with no obligation to proceed.

Do I need to have my documentation ready before I reach out?

No. You don’t need to prepare anything prior to the call. If you have existing documentation, even a partial plan feel free to bring it. If you are starting from scratch with nothing on paper, no problem! This service was designed to fit wherever you are in your planning.

We’re a small facility. Is this engagement right for us?

Yes. Alchemy Consulting works with facilities of all sizes including single line operations to multi-site manufacturers. The project is scoped to your operation so the work matches your complexity.

We already have parts of a plan. Do we start over?

Not necessarily. We will review what  you’ve already worked on and determine the best path.  If parts of the existing plan are sound, we can incorporate that. If something needs to be rebuilt, we’ll tell you why.

We’re not sure if we need food safety plan development or a reassessment of our existing plan. How do we know which is right?

The consultation call will help determine exactly what is needed. As a general rule, if you have a documented food safety plan that is reasonably current, a reassessment may be the better path. If you don’t have a plan, if your operation has changed significantly, or if you lack a proper hazard analysis then a plan development is likely the right fit. The initial call will help guide your direction.

What if we decide the engagement isn’t right for us after the scoping call?

No problem. The initial consultation is intended to help both teams better understand your operation, challenges, and goals. If we determine the engagement is not the right fit, or that a different level of support would make more sense, there is no obligation to move forward. Our goal is to provide clarity and help you identify the best path for your operation.
